One of the least flavorful Chinese restaurants I’ve ever had. I ordered Crab Rangoons, Egg Drop Soup, Twice Cooked Pork... w/fried rice. The rangoon filling tasted like straight cream cheese, no crab flavor at all. Not to mention the rangoons I received were less than half filled (see pictures). The egg drop soup was the best part of the meal, it was served barely warmed without fried noodles. The sauce on the Twice Cooked Pork was extra salty and over powered the any flavor from the rest of the dish. The so called fried rice was nothing more than white rice mixed with bits of chopped fried egg (see pics). Giving 2 stars because I can say I’ve had worse in other locations but this was a definite disappointment!read more

DO NOT GO HERE. The woman we encountered was extremely rude. I was told my sauce for my chicken was on the side (i had... a 30 min drive home and didnt want soggy chicken) and when i opened the bag, the sauce was mixed into the chicken. I had to pay again in order for them to re-make it, and then got home to find that it isnt even the chicken usually used for these orders...it looks like a breaded chicken breast that had been cut up. There was another customer in the restraunt also in an argument with this woman, who had taken his entire plate of food from him after he stated that something didn't taste right, they did not remake his food...and still made him pay. Absolutly terrible service.read more

Reviewing based on past experience - not sure how things have changed with the new owners, but my experiences here have... always been pleasant, tasty, and filling! Better than average Chinese American food, and the service is good and friendly. I also love the atmosphere that really recalls the dimly lit Asian sensibility you might see in old Chinatown. The typical Chinese American dishes are great, and the egg rolls are super! Good portion sizes and decent prices - man, I need to visit this place again soon!read more

Ordered online and arrived early for pickup. Was able to get two mixed drinks for $7. Food can be mildly pricey, but... its definitely worth it. Especially the chicken bacon ranch Mac n cheese.read more

The depth of the flavor is intensely shallow. If hot or spicy is ordered one should bring their own heat. This food... should not be confused with taste and should be served in a hospital or prison on a sectioned plastic tray . Bring friends with you to enhance the dining experience.read more

Even though it was a very busy Friday night we had a short wait for a table and excellent service. Cheese curds... appetizers were outstanding! The dinners, shrimp, walleye and Mac n cheese could not have been better. We all wanted dessert but because of dinner size we were to stuffed. There will be a trip back for coffee and dessert only.read more

Not the worst ever, just not great. The egg rolls are obviously shipped in frozen and mostly cabbage. The chicken in... the orange chicken was not solid pieces of meat, but some sort of ground chicken/filler combination. I would be much happier paying for less food with better ingredients. That said, this would be an ok place to bring kids or someone hungry and a few beers in. As someone who enjoys good food - I'd take Kwik Trip over this any day.read more

Food is delicious! We love the new owners. Such hard working staff and the food that comes out of the kitchen always... tastes great. My mom commented that you can tell they change their oil frequently as well.read more

For take out this is very clean in the sense that it does not use a lot of grease. But still this food is very tasty... and is worthy of being a go to chinese takeout!!read more

Some of the negative reviews on here are unwarranted IMHO. Yes, Chopsticks did change ownership and like all... restaurants coming under new management, you learn things. So I wouldn't pay any attention to the 3 - 6 year old reviews. I did leave a negative review about a year ago mainly because of my frustration trying to place a carryout order and we were under covid restrictions, so the owner responded. Forget that earlier review... the restaurant is fully open now and there are no issues with both dine-in or carry out.We've lived here since 2005 so we've been eating at, and placing takeout orders from Chopsticks for nearly 17 years now. I've eaten Asian food in Asia and all over the US including NYC, San Francisco, Toronto, Chicago, Vegas, etc., even in a little town in KS where we lived for years before moving back to WI. For US Chinese restaurants and considering that Chopsticks is located in a small town, it's damn good. The staff is very friendly and the service is great. Obviously, it's not going to be up to everyone's tastes and expectations. No restaurant is. I will say this.... there was one reviewer that stated the brown gravy on the egg foo young was bland. They are correct. Which is why I request the lobster sauce when I order their egg foo young. There's a little tip for you! Makes the dish sooooo much better. I reserve 5-star ratings for the best of the best, so 4 stars that I gave Chopsticks is a darn good rating. Keep in mind... you are eating in a Chinese restaurant is a small town, so don't expect China Town San Francisco. But if you happen to find yourself in this small City of Monroe and have a hankering for Chinese, I can genuinely recommend the New Chopsticks.read more

We missed dining in at New Chopstick all through the pandemic. I'm happy they are reopen and still as good, if not... better that before. My daughters cannot get enough of the hot and sour soup. We also had their fried dumplings, shrimp fried rice, Mongolian beef, and chicken lo mien. Everything was hot and tasty. Friendly and quick service too.read more

Each time the food is of great quality and the service is wonderful. The chop suey and steamed dumplings are... definitely highlights from their menu. I appreciate how cautious they have been throughout the pandemic too. It is a local gem!read more
